Toronto Cake Show

It has been a busy summer caking…and I was looking forward to attending the Canada Bakes & Sweet Show for my second time. I attended for the first time last year, and this year I was prepared with what I knew I wanted to buy and see at the show.   I attended the first day, rather early. I wasn’t expecting to see any popular cakers as they were scheduled for later in the  day. To my surprise, The Cupcake Girls were there setting up their booth, totally accessible, friendly and willing to pose for pictures! Yeah! Love this show and the ladies where very friendly.

The theme for this years show was Alice and Wonderland!

The talent was amazing..the submitted cakes for competition were beyond incredible. here are a few of my favorites.

Shabby Chic 1st Birthday Cake

This cake was for a 1st Birthday Celebration themed Shabby Chic. The cake was White White Chocolate /Buttercream covered in Fondant with a matching 4” Smash Cake.

Aloha! Hawaiian inspired !

Hula Girl was the inspiration for this cake. Flavors where Upside Down Pineapple for bottom tier, and Strawberry for top tier. Covered in Princess Buttercream with Fondant decorations.

Pregnant Belly Cake- Chartreuse

This Pregnant Belly Cake was for a baby shower where the gender was unknown.  I loved the color theme from the printable collection chosen for the party. The colors were hues of lime/green, white, browns, a hint of black. The cake flavor was White White Chocolate, with buttercream under the fondant.
